Bildungsgeschichte Online mainly covers:

• monographs (from publication year 1485)
• periodicals (from publication year 1740)
• articles from journals and collected works (from publication year 1994)
• reviews (from publication year 1994)
• electronic resources (from publication year 1998)
• digitized documents (publication years 1760 - 1944)

The collections from the predecessors (Deutsches Schulmuseum, Deutsche Lehrerbücherei, Pädagogische Zentralbibliothek) are completely catalogued.
